WHO WE ARE
We are a team of experienced professionals with decades of combined experience in the financial industry. Our founders Kathrin Genovese and María Monfort went from executive roles at renowned institutions, to founding their own consultancy firm KGM Partners with the objective of reshaping a very conservative and rigid industry while making our clients feel empowered and in control.
KATHRIN GENOVESE
GENERAL MANAGING PARTNER
Kathrin Genovese has 35 years of working experience. She spent the first 25 years of her career at the Marc Rich Group where she held several executive roles including CEO. In 2009, Kathrin founded & ran the Marc Rich Family Office from 2013 to 2023. Kathrin remains Chairwoman of the Marc Rich foundation. In parallel,Kathrin joined the banking industry in 2015 with UBS, where she held different senior roles within the Family Office space. In December 2019, she joined UBP Investment Advisors and became CEO of the American business with responsibility over CHF 2.5bn AuM. Since 2023, Kathrin has founded KGM, her own firm based in Zug, leveraging her combined expertise of family office services and financial industry to provide optimal solutions for private and institutional clients. Kathrin holds a Master in Banking and Finance from HSG St. Gallen. Kathrin speaks fluently English, German, Swedish and French
MARÍA MONFORT
MANAGING PARTNER
María Monfort has 12 years of experience in the financial industry in different locations between Zurich, London and Singapore/Hong Kong. She worked for 8+ years at UBS in different roles within Wealth Management and the Investment Bank. From M&A to strategic consultancy for the Asian business with responsibility over CHF 400bn AuM. During this period, Maria also launched an internal initiative around private markets with a pre-committed capital of CHF 2bn from existing clients. In 2021 she joined UBP IA as Head of Strategy and business development, a CHF 2.5bn external asset manager in Zurich owned by UBP. Since January 2023, Maria co-founded KGM, a consultancy firm based in Zug, leveraging her experience and technical knowledge in the financial space to provide optimal solutions on a case-by-case basis to private and institutional clients. As a side hustle, she founded an e-commerce retail brand 3 years ago. She holds a Bachelor and Master degree from ESADE Business School and HSG St. Gallen. Maria speaks fluently English, Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese.
